I have liked knitting and textiles from my early age, and I always made something.
I thought that I wanted to make the fabric work after growing, but I gave up because I didn't have the opportunity.
And it happened that I began to learn Japanese tea. Then, I came to think that I want to wear a kimono by myself.
After a time, again, I had a chance to get in learning WASAI.
However, I did not make much progress and the day of training continued. After spending many years, I finally got to sew a kimono, and my desire to create something I like regardless of shape began to sprout, one day.
When I tried it, I found myself to shape my thoughts more than before. By knowing the skills of WASAI, I think that it has come to be able to make what is in my head the actual shape.
Expanding my activities overseas is one of them.
By struggling and keeping touch with WASAI all the time, I reached how to express myself with confidence.

This was the way I went through until I established "so-sen".
My name is Izumi that means fountain, and My name in tea ceremony called "sado" is So-Sen, that means a fountain where my primitive thoughts spring up.
I learned how to consider others through tea ceremony and I got WASAI skills overcoming long struggles. By using all of them, I want to shape to what spring up in my mind so that I fit my name.
